The Little Port Cooper Floatilla

A’hoy there! Join us for Amanda and Julia's birthday bash
Located in Whakaraupō / Lyttleton Habour. There's no river float this year… but instead a flotilla of vessels that will voyage to the yachties paradise that is Waitata / Little Port Cooper.

THE HILLS ARE ALIVE WITH MUSIC!They come by land, They come by sea.
Arrive by boat/packraft/canoe/kayak or by a 1 ½ hour walking track from the farmhouse at Camp Bay. The school house, that was built in 1883, will serve for shelter and cooking but bring your own tent.
It's a $25 fee for camping on the grass. Scenic cocktails will be served in ‘Cocktail Cave’ within the bay. Great spot for activities so bring your beach games, frisbee, rods, novelty floatation device or snorkels. Pray for sunshine!

1.) Animated water background with big, bold titles and details
2.) Colorful and purposefully clash contrasted with the previous section, deeper details and RSVP button.
3.) Basic map, slimline and stripped.
4.) Photo masonry grid of past events. To build hype and show what you’re in for.

Imported sketched wireframe and blocked out sections overtop. Experimented and refined the colour palette(final branding and colours signed off by event hosts).

Final webpage build

The final build in Squarespace. Added the inbuilt background effect that Squarespace has, immediately catches the visitor’s eye.
Designed the final colourful section in PS, boat shapes and a bit clashing(intentional). Fun and bold.
The page was very well appreciated, received glowing reviews and even a few requests for similar projects for other events in the future. Very fun designing and building these single page event sites.
